I’ve had my new phone now for a few months , and I can’t seem to link it to my account to check for balance etc , I did transfer my old number to this but the number my new sim cam with still shows of if I am writing a text ? And not my old number that I am using ? I don’t have the new sim and I knew I wasn’t going to use it but how can I link my phone ? It won’t let me ?

What is happening when you try to link it? It should be a case of logging into your online account, selecting Link a product from the home page or the profile page, enter the mobile number you want to link, it will send you a PIN to confirm and link up. Linking Your EE Products | Profile Help | EE
Did you transfer your old number from another network to your EE SIM you mean? When you say the old number shows up for texts, does the correct number show up for calls etc it is just text its shows the original EE number? If so this is likely in relation to iMessage or Google Messages/RCS storing the original number and this can be updated in the message settings, what type of phone is it you use?
