Can't link EE pay go SIM to EE account

J2MMY

I have received a pay as you go sim card by post. When I select to link it to my existing EE account online, it says there is an error linking and to try again later. When I try later, I get the same error.

The pay as you go sim card is showing signal and can make calls etc.

Thanks

Hi @AlasteirHo

Did you get this resolved with our pay as you go care team?

If not, I've sent you a private message for some extra details 🙂

Leanne.

I am having the same problem, new PAYG sim and new account,  please send me the private message also.  Keep getting the “something is wrong” message when trying to add the sim.

thanks

I have exactly the same problem with a new payg sim.....tried on the phone and on a browser....but constantly fails to link my sim to my account....also bought a 15 pound top up and now I have 10 pounds on my sim somehow ? Honestly if its was not for the coverage where I am camping next week I would give this up as a bad job...

So after numerous attempts to link my PAYG sim via the website I tried to use the web chat but the virtual assistant told me this topic  is no longer covered and I should phone Customer Services. I then phoned EE was put through after a 20++ minute wait to a very helpful guy who stated they have been receiving a high volume of calls relating to this matter and there seems to be a glitch with the website. Despite his best efforts, I'm still unable to link my sim. I'm now wondering whether it's worth the hassle and just stick with O2!!! 😡
