App not showing data, minutes or texts

My new pack started today but the app shows no data, minutes or texts. I have a text message detailing my new allowances so I know what I've got but how can I get the app working again? I've restarted the phone and reinstalled the app but it makes no difference.

All storage allocated to Chrome was cleared before running the test.

Samsung Internet was freshly installed and never used before.

It is currently working with firefox mobile, but I have had that fail before now.

Can you let me know if any errors show when using Firefox to view the allowance details.

@Leanne_T I've done a bit more sleuthing and I know what's wrong.

It works if you use non-secure http://

It does not work if you use https://

This is definitely a security issue that needs to be fixed ASAP.

It had not occurred to me that AL was useful during the week.

I normally use AL as soon as my weekly £1 subscription has renewed on Saturday, to check my balance.

Because sometimes during the week I manage, without realising it, to use something that costs money !

I have just looked at the web site and that is also not showing current remaining data, minutes and texts.

AL is working usefully !

Every time I top up my phone its not showing on the PAYG APP.. anyone else having this problem?

  • I’ve got exactly the same problem and spent an hour on online chat this morning without any result. EE are saying there’s a lot of tech to deal with and these things happen occasionally but they did not seem to recognise it as a widespread issue.

Hmm... A mobile network operator not being totally truthful about an outage in their services. I'm shocked! That NEVER happens!

Yes, if they’d said at the start ‘we know about it and are onto it’ I’d have been perfectly happy and saved myself an hour of pointless chat!

In fairness, EE is a huge organisation. It's not beyond the realms of the possible that the person you spoke to in front-line support honestly did not know about the issue. It takes time for information like this to filter through the channels and it's "only" been 1½ weeks since this started.
