App downgrade

Since the implementation of the modified app (a downgrade), it is still unable to show data usage, extra charges, the correct time greeting or any other useful info.

Hi @Crithwood

What device do you have? Are your bills itemised?

Everything works fine on my S22 Ultra.

Thanks

@Northerner  @Crithwood   Works for me too on a iPhone 12 Pro Max.    I can also say it works on an iPhone SE2 and it also works on my iPad Pro.

Just to check, @Crithwood, have you tried deleting and re-downloading it?

Hi @Crithwood

Close down the app, go into settings and apps/applications - find the EE app and clear cache/Data. Then restart the app.

Does it work now?

Thanks

The app came right! I rebooting the phone - no change. Deleted the app and reinstalled - no change.

But then 2 days ago it came right without any changes on my part. The only change that I can think of is that I was receiving data from different sources while the faults were present, and it could be that EE system doesn't cooperate well with other countries providers? I have noted that lack of consistent service while in other countries than the UK, manifesting itself in various ways.

The only remaining irk, and its only an irk, not an important issue, is the greeting on starting the app. "Good morning", etc, when its afternoon etc. I wonder what source the app uses to get the time to decide what message to use? As I'm often in different time zones, the cellular network time would perhaps be best, but as the phone gets it time from there and there's a difference between that and the greeting, I assume its not that. Sunlight on the screen? Doubt that. But what then?

Well that didn't last long. Now the extra charges info has disappeared from the app.
