Hi.
I currently have an EE Full Fibre Gigabit account and would like to add a SIM Only Unlimited Essentials to the account,
However when trying to add the mobile plan to my account I'm met with an "Your account's closed" error.
I had a SIM plan with EE many years ago, could this be causing the problem?

It's possible your old closed EE Mobile account is still linked to your EE ID email address, although it would not be visible to you (with the exception of messages like these).
If you contact EE Customer Services, they may be able to remove it for you so that this message goes away and you can set up a new mobile account under your EE ID alongside your Broadband.
