On 19 Nov engineer switched my landline from BT to EE but now my landline won't accept incoming calls, and the buttons on my handset won't register options. Contacted EE and was told that switch over would be complete yesterday but situation is still the same. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

@gillian-542 Can you dial out from the landline, the system is 2 parts, in and out, and it can / does take day's sometimes for it all to piece it's self together. So you can either give it some more time or dial 150 to EE CS and see if it is in a problem state.
Button register option, are you per chance using a remote DVA plugged into a power socket for remote location of your landline phone?

Yes I can make calls from my landline. I have contacted BT/EE Customer Service and guy said that they were having issues migrating my landline across to Digital Voice, but they were working on it!!!! They just don't send me any updates either by email or text to let me know what's going on, which I find mega frustating.
On the button register option, Yes we are using a remote DVA plugged into a power socket for remote location of our cordless phone for our landline. The Openreach Engineer set up the link between the DVA and the EE hub.

@gillian-542 So i am going to post this reply as simple and easy as i can for you, and this is the correct area if you wish to go and check other postings for confirmation.
The DVA DOES not work for number recognition on SOME services, No matter what phone you try, change of adapter, latest updates to the adapter, BT or EE front indication on the adapter, (There is multiply types) Router FW updates etc etc etc...
It MAY work in the future but currently NOT. The current and only fix for this fault is that a phone HAS to be plugged into the EE Smarthub+ ATA port at the back of the router, you do not say if you have the EE or been told to use the BT router you had previous, if you care to confirm which/what you have. I will link below the what EE so you can just look at the pictures. As to notification do not expect any unless the guide you spoke to offered to call you back, it's one of those someone has to sit down look at the phone profile and sort it out, he / she will more than likely be a tech engineer on the network side or DV specialist.

Edit: sorry just seen that the EE hub was installed so removed the BT link.
Long posting, but just linked to the back end of it for you below.

We have the EE Smart Hub Plus. The BT Hub we had was the one in the first picture.
