Hi
Recently migrated from another isp for my fttp 500mb with digital Voice.
Fttp is working great, but having issues with maintaining digital Voice.
After a couple of weeks faffing, I got it sorted (registering phone etc) at it was ok, but this week callers can't hear me, nor can I hear them.... The phone rings and there is a dial tone.....
Any ideas guys?
Thanks

Hi Roger, please let us know how you got on and if they replied and the outcome, did they allow you to leave etc. I've got exactly the same issue and will not stand for having to factory re-set the hub every time it decides to drop the phone out so i can't here anyone when calls are made or received.

@Rickster7 In the many/many years that i have been doing this, not once have i found that factory reset achieves anything, it is unfortunate that some EE CS do appear to use it, had it myself from them and refused as i new it was nothing that was required, i have the router finely tuned to how i want it, but not using DV at present as was aware of all the issues surrounding.
Now not to say that doing for DV helps or not, and you are right to reach out, question has also been asked but yet not seen reply, so you are hopefully answered to that, you can raise a complaint there is an electronic form request can find it again if you want it, but it is a problem that although may not be common is/does affect user's. HTH with some of your post. Jim

Slightly different scenario here - I moved from FTTP 900 with BT to EE in May and had nothing but problems with DV since. I have 2 BT DV handsets connected to the new Smarthub Plus they sent me and a single corded BT Decor phone wired into the back of the router. DV appears to work fine with the DV handsets but after 3-4 days the wired handset is non responsive - no dial tone no calls coming in and can't make calls. A reboot of the router sorts the issue for another few days. DECT handsets work fine? No issue with the old Smart Hub 2 BT supplied.
I have had Openreach out - Broadband fine, discussed the issue and they can't come to a conclusion. I have tried multiple corded handsets wired to the hub, same issue persists with all handsets. I have factory reset the hub and set up again (multiple times), same issue. Thought it was a faulty port on the back of the hub, replaced hub - same issue persists.
Broadband is fine - at my wits end, this has been going on for months. Maybe a firmware issue?

@Kielty1 If i am reading your post right, only issue is the ATA port on back of the hub, to the corded BT Decor/ or whatever flavour you attach to this port. The Dect connected phones always work good, no issue what so ever. There is supposed to be a FW update, no timescale to sort out DV issues, but no idea what/when/where or any of the faults that hopefully someone is collating, it cannot be every one that has problems or EE would be ringing of the hook, oops forgot no dialing. Thanks for all of your info, when such is yours with precise, done this done that it is really good. STOP doing the factory reboots is does nothing but make you re-attach everything from scratch again, no more router swaps, and you have narrowed it down well. Thank you very much and will paste this to an EE guide, but hopefully one of them reads and acknowledges your post.👍👍👌
Note:- it appears also that the EE version branded of the DV dect handsets also suffer from the same, so would be good if you can confirm when the corded goes out, can you still use the dect attached set and they work even though the ATA port is out...

@JimM11 thanks for this, in response to your note - yes the BT DV handsets work fine even thought the port is out. No one has any clue as to why?

@Kielty1 Thanks for the reply, really good to know, and the final question to you, do you remember the old adsl filters that used to plug into the phone socket, then you would plug in the router cable and a phone into the other end. If you have one lying around, may even have got one with you router's, if so could you plug into back of router, and the corded phone into the filter, only if you have one lying around....

@JimM11 i don’t have one of those, the old extensions ran off a filtered ADSL faceplate. Had FTTP for a while now..

@Kielty1 Thanks, just a thought in case it helped to keep the ATA interface up.

@JimM11 , a bit of further info that may help. For some reason I thought logging in to the router either via the EE App or via the router web page may be causing issues - I know very random. So I rebooted the router early last week and left it. No EE app or login from the router page and hey presto no issues!! corded phone still working...

@Kielty1 Good to know, if you get one single issue post in the forum, anything news wise is good, it all helps, and DV team are aware and monitoring. It may just be a time issue, logged calls, memory of router getting filled, eventually falling over, and as you say, its a pain when you suspect its not working, but good to know that at least your DV handset's appear to be keeping your system active. If/when i hear anything will post or pm you.
