We had Full Fibre installed 2 days ago. Our landline phone can only dial out but anyone calling in gets an unobtainable tone. EE sent a new hub but that's worse! Just get a message with no dial tone and still no incoming calls. Put the original hub back so at least we can make calls. Doesn't solve the problem though. Not impressed with EE.

Thanks for the update here @jonpearce.
I can appreciate your frustration at how long this has taken to resolve, and whilst we'll always aim to get things sorted as soon as possible, faults can sometimes be complex and take a bit longer than expected.
Please keep us posted on how things go, too.

Here's a strange thing. We are able to ring the home phone handset from itself! Surely there would be an engaged tone? It shows our number on the phone display with Out Of Area above it.

Called again last week and the guide was instigating an SIP regen and said it was expecting to be resolved by close of play Friday 19th (yesterday) Needless to say there's no difference. He said last week he'll call Monday to check if all OK. Not expecting any resolution to this problem. Lost all confidence in EE.

@jonpearce Thank you for updating the thread, I am sorry to hear the issue is still ongoing after the latest attempted fix, I can understand how you feel, hopefully on the call on Monday they can let you know the next steps to continue to work on getting this all sorted.

Just spoke to a friend who had exactly the same problem. Took EE 3 months to sort it! If it's not done end of this week I'll be complaining to Ofcom. According to them EE and Talk Talk are the most complained about providers of landlines.

OFCOM don't handle individual complaints. You can make a formal complaint to EE & if you don't get satisfaction after 8 weeks or come to a deadlock you can take it to EE's ADR provider. See Complaints code of practice and here is the Complaints Form .
