iPhone 14 Upgrade

I am am on the annual upgrade plan for my iPhone 13 and my contract start date was the 24th September (release date of the iPhone 13).

I wish to upgrade the the iPhone 14 (whole point of being on the annual upgrade plan) and when I logged on earlier it said I have to pay £100.

Now I get the system is right but will EE really make me pay £100 to upgrade?

There’s a distinction between an anytime upgrade tariff and a normal one.  This happened last year as well.  There’s still mixed messages for both but it helps to be clear which tariff you’re on when saying wether they waived it or not.

my contract dates were 29/9/23 and 24/9/23,  both fees were waived for an anytime upgrade on both my lines.

was about to order the ultra Watch as well but seems the black trail band is out of stock!

also it seems if you calculate the Watch works out full price + 8.50/month over 24 months.  If you buy from apple and get it added it’s 7/month.

I was t even asked about it, she said I had anytime upgrade. I asked but she said no charge. Great service really as they don’t need to wave the charge

No what I mean is, if it’s anytime upgrade they seem to waive the fee, if it’s end of contract etc they don’t (generally)

No mention of an anytime fee for me. Should have been £300. Hopefully EE don’t make a pigs ear of it like last year and it actually comes next Friday

Should have been £300 for me but they didn't charge me anything. Just the 50 up front for the phone.

Just gave them another phone call. I was able to upgrade without any fees (besides delivery) - like most people did. Not entirely sure why the first agent I spoke to relayed incorrect information the first time round. Guess it all depends on who picks up your phone call.

I went through the process on the app, accidentally went all the way through, it didn’t ask me for card details and the confirmation email said ‘pay today: £0.00.’ My early fee was supposed to be until September 29th.

So it seems either I’m going to have my order cancelled, or fees aren’t a thing again this year

Got to say i am a little bit shocked, iPhone 14 Pro Max 1Tb Full Works plan £113 per month and they still want a £330 upfront fee.  Yet i can go to two different competitors and get a comparable deal for upto £50 upfront why so much on EE?

These costs would be as a brand new customer so dont include early upgrade fees or the likes, seems odd to be soo much high than their competitors?
