Hi,
my contract was due to expire on May 2nd. I went into the store last week as I was curious if I had any bills/money to pay before the end of contract. I went in to make sure no money was owed and that my contract would be fully cancelled for the 2nd. The rep in store told me not to cancel it and that if I wanted a sim or upgrade do it closer to the 2nd to get the most usage. Today I’ve been charged £50 and told there’s nothing they can do as I didn’t cancel WELL inadvance. I just took the advice of the rep and it’s costed me, anything I can do at all?

Your contract doesn't end your minimum contract term ends. To cancel you need to speak to EE CS on 150 and give 30 days notice.

Your contract will not be fully cancelled until you yourself cancel it by giving 30 days notice.
These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away. There may however be a 10% discount after 3 months. You may always choose to upgrade your contract to a cheaper SIM-Only contract.

@Jai97 you’ve been billed accordingly as pay pro rata not in arrears. You’ve got the time left until the minimum term date. You’ve got billed and then paid that bill around 7 days later for the next month. You’ve not billed for the remaining time left in the contract So I’m guessing you pay your bill mid month was you expecting not to pay the last 2-3 weeks of that contract as you obviously got a bill around the same time last month. If had called to terminate 30 days before the minimum term date you’ll of been refunded the difference back. Now if you call to terminate it’ll be 30 days from when you call. It’s only mid month at present and you’re billed every 30 days so you’ve paid for 30 days.
