Hi, I purchased a TV in March with free TNT sports for 24 months for £13 a month but have just realised that in addition to the £13 EE have been charging me an additional £20 a month. I have just spent over an hour on the phone about this: initially the advisor said he would cancel the £20 and refund this month’s payment but couldn’t refund the other months I’ve paid. I then found (fortunately whilst still on the phone to him) that I no longer had access to TNT sports! Long story short: I managed to get TNT reinstated but according to the text message I received, only for 12 months, plus I’m apparently also now being charged an extra £5 a month for BT sports (don’t know what this is but didn’t request it!) I will be making a complaint about all this, obviously (haven’t got time right now to get back on the phone for another infuriating attempt to deal with EEs incompetent ‘customer service’, but in the meantime I strongly advise anyone thinking about buying a similar bundle to keep a very close eye on their bills and also not to expect any aspect of this offer to be straightforward!
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.
