Hi, I’ve recently (about two weeks ago) cancelled my mobile plan. However, I need it urgently now to receive an access code for resetting an important password. I was wondering would it be possible to recover this number? Also, I’m currently outside of the UK. If the number can be recovered, would my old SIM card work or will I be send a new one?
Many thanks

Hello @pei.
Thanks for coming here.
Has your account been closed or have you just placed your notice two weeks ago?

Hi @pei.
If your account has been closed, I don't believe this can be reactivated to access a code.

Hi Katie,
I’m not too sure if my account has been closed or not. I canceled my plan via the message function while I still had my number. If my account has not been closed, what can I do to retrieve my number? Could I communicate with anyone online instead of calling (as I’m abroad at the moment)?
Thank you.

Hi @pei.
To close an account a 30 day notice would need to be provided to our customer care team on 150.
Alternatively, you can request a PAC code via text, however, your PAC code would need to be provided to a new UK provider for the account to close.
If these have not been done, it is likely your account is still active.
Do you have access to Skype?

I'd recommend trying to call us on 0800 956 6000 through Skype @pei.

You can't cancel a plan via any message function. You needed to phone CS & give 30 days notice.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
