My brother is autistic and recently we have received two final demands for payment on an EE account in his name. However he doesn’t have an EE phone or an account. We bought him a mobile a few years ago and as a temporary measure we had a pay as you go SIM from EE but then got one with giffgaff and threw the old SIM away. I am wondering if I accidentally bought a contract without knowing and the bills have been racking up or if someone has used his personal data to buy a contract? I have tried going through the customer helpline but as I only have an account number and not the mobile phone number I can’t seem to get through to anyone. Can anyone here help? I am extremely worried now.

Try calling CS on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2 > option 4) . That won't ask for an EE mobile no.
