EE - I would like to know why you will be increasing prices by a further 3.9% ON TOP OF the 7.9% CPI from April 2024??

I totally agree that the 3.9% price hike, over and above the CPI, is excessive and unwarranted. I shall definitely remember this when having to renew my contract and when recommending my mobile phone provider to my friends, family and colleagues! Not a happy customer.

Hi @jarvir
Welcome to the community.
This annual change helps us manage our increasing operating costs (many of which are increasing above inflation) as well as to cover the significant investments we need to continue giving better products and better value to our customers.

I myself will be considering very carefully, if I will be renewing my contract for a 9th year when this one finishes in 2025 as EE seem to now be one of the most expensive networks going.

Thank you for the response however I still think the price rise is too much.
As customers we will not see any benefit yet we will be paying the price.

I am also with Sky as well as EE and have both numbers on the one iPhone as signal is poor with Sky (O2) where I live.
At the end of January I received a 20% increase with my Sky tariff, however, I was given the option to cancel my contract if I was not happy with this - quoted:
“We hope you’ll continue to enjoy our services, but if you're not happy with the changes, you can cancel your Sky Mobile subscription by calling 0333 759 ——. If you're within your minimum contract period, call us within 30 days of getting this email to avoid early termination charges. Unless you tell us otherwise, your Sky Mobile subscription will continue as normal.”
Although I will stick with EE because they offer by far the best mobile coverage, it would be nice if they offered a similar option to the above, to those customers that wanted it.

Didn't Sky hike prices for out of contract customers only, so like EE, you would be free to leave with no penalty.

@jarvir no benefit so you don’t connect to a cellular network that has had 5G implemented within it and it’s still ongoing this doesn’t come for free to install and network improvements cost. So you don’t see any benefit? The cost to operate a cellular network ie electricity is also paid for but the customer. No benefit that you see but it’s there for you to use.
