Moving family members to their own payment accounts

I have a family account with 4 members, I am the admin.

All payments come from one account (mine).

I want to move 2 of the numbers (my 2 sons) to their own account, so that their parts of the bill come from their account.

Is that possible, and can they still be part of the EE family account, and share data, get the family discount etc?

You can perform a legal "change of ownership" whereby the responsibility for an individual line moves from one account to another, often with a different account holder. Follow "transfer to a friend, colleague or family member" under https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/manage/change-my-account-in-the-case-of-a-life-event

Data sharing & family discounts are a benefit of being on the same billing account, this will be lost in the event of the account being split.

The alternative is to make manual payments to the existing account, doing so prior to the monthly bill date will result in the bill amount being reduced, and thus the DD.

Thanks, I've looked at that, but that seems to be for when the admin is moved to someone else.

I want to move 2 family members to their own independant accounts with their own plans and payment details, but keep the admin (me) the same.

You can't w/out sharing their creds. Normally they would admin their own a/c's.

It's the only way for them to pay for their bills other than manually paying their share of your bill in advance of the billing date at which time they may not know exactly how much their part is.

Yeah that's not what I'm asking.

I have 1 billing account with 4 phones, 1 for each family member.

I want to move 2 of those family members' phones to their own independent billing accounts.

Their accounts are up for renewal shortly, and I want to do it then.

Just need to know the procedure for doing that.

Yes, you've already told us that in your OP & you were told what you need to do so that your 2 sons can get their own bills.

The first answer told me what to do to move the admin to another account, not to move family members to their new account.

From the link, "To change the account holder name on your mobile account and transfer it to a new owner, give us a call when both you and the new account holder are together."

I don't want to move the admin, I just want to move 2 family members to their own accounts.

So this original reply doesn't help me, or I just don't understand.

The 1st reply tells you how to move everything, incl. the admin & your family members' contracts & nos. to another a/c. You wouldn't have admin permission. It's the only way! Otherwise it is not possible to do what you want as you seem to be hung up on the admin.
