I have this showing for my next bill. I have just recently upgraded. I spoke to someone on live chat and she said it was a credit on the account, to wait until the bill is generated for a refund. I think she is wrong! Has anyone had this before?

Hi @melissaandy2021.
Welcome to the EE Community 😊
This amount you're seeing here is definitely a credit to the account.
When you upgrade the cost of the handset is applied to your account, but we'll then apply a credit to counter the handset cost so you're not left out of pocket.
Your next bill should show a charge that matches this, alongside any plan charges too.

@melissaandy2021 As much as I'd certainly not complain at an £820 credit, it will definitely be offset by the handset charge once your next bill is produced.
If there's anything at all you're unsure about once this is produced though, please let us know and we'll do our best to help 😊
Peter
