Lost a job and now struggle with my bills

Some time before I lost my job I purchased data sim which I dont need now as Im not in work and it only drags me down as I already struggle a lot with my money. Can this be canceled? The contract started few months ago.

Right, so I spoke to ee and they said I would have to fail to pay my DD and then speak to collections team. Is this the best way of sorting it?
