So I pre-ordered the pixel 9 pro fold and had no emails about it, so I contacted the live chat for an update phone was due for release on the 4th September I contacted on 3rd of September for an update, this is what I got, customer service had lied to me telling me I had to wait 14 days till it arrived and then stated he can cancel the order and make a new one with a different phone, I then said I'm not happy and it's ridiculous as I pre-ordered the phone the day it was put up on sale. After 1 minute I get a message back stating the ordered been picked and ready for delivery.

Customer service should not be lying to their customers it's a serious case of mis-selling and I'm sure the FCA won't be happy with this, I've made a formal complaint to EE and depending on their reply I will be taking this further

as I said jump the gun and couldn’t wait for a update.  There is no updates until the device is dispatched.   How can there be and when EE have gave updates before dispatch customers complain because it doesn’t give a date of delivery.    Order a phone and sit back and relax until it’s delivered,   It’s just a phone.

So because I asked for an update, I get lied to about it? When in fact there was an update he just lied to me telling me 14 days

@JadeGrandini199  did you ever think that perhaps the system hadn’t updated for your order so customer services didn’t know ?  You are assuming that they must of known because you did get an update after calling.

I posted exact screenshots of the conversation, I joined chat asked for update they stated 14 days for delivery they can cancel and order a different phone for me, I said I'm not happy then next reply was yes it's been dispatched, the guy knew and wanted to cancel so he can get an upgrade for him self

I got it the next day after the chat, release day

That's not the issue the issue is EE not telling there customers there will be a delay. I've just called EE because I've heard nothing re my pre ordered pixel 9 pro fold I ordered on 15 August using there free memory upgrade option 512 instead of 256 and have been told it's now on back order 28 days!!! That's bloody awful customer care plain and simple!!!

I was told mine would be delivered by the 4/9l2024 and wasn't told if there was non in stock I'd have to wait indefinitely. It's a scam another corporation getting away with lying to people to get business. Not to mention every EE customer playing dumb when you try to get answers. £330 down broadband I've changed  to is terrible and now I got to wait indefinitely for a phone
