What a shambles. My contract finished last year so I stopped direct debit.I phoned up ee after seeing they wanted to charge me for a service I didn't want.It was like talking to a misprogrammed robot. Now it shows on my record that all bills have been paid and I don't owe anything.Never again will I deal with ee.

@caroleoconnor   When your contract reached its minimum term, a change to a 30 day rolling contract. In order to terminate you need to call customer services and give notice of termination.  They don’t just end on the minimum term date if it did you’ll be cut off even if you was abroad and you wouldn’t want that.

These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away.
