I paid by card over the phone and the automated voice said service would be restored within an hour but it's been 2 and no change ☹️

If you've recently paid an overdue bill then it can take 24 to 48 hours for your services to restore.
Have you got a Direct Debit in place to make sure they are paid on time and to stop having your services being suspended?
