How long for device to be returned and removed from account

Hi there,

My broadband was coming to the end of it’s contract so I called the upgrades team to acquire a new deal for it. I was advised to take out an additional device (tablet) as it would save £10 off my overall bill. I was informed I could gift it or sell it if I didn’t want it (which I don’t). Upon looking through the contract details, I noticed I wasn’t saving anything by having the device and called to remove it as it hadn’t been sent yet. I was informed to refuse the item upon delivery so it would get returned back to the warehouse. I’m wondering how long it will take to reach the warehouse and when it will be removed from my account? I don’t want to get charged for something I never wanted and never used.

As long as you cancel it (or refuse delivery) within you 14-day statutory cooling-off period from delivery it doesn't matter how long it takes to get back to EE.
