Hi,
I chose to get an early upgrade on my phone earlier today, so I could switch to a SIM only contract. The payment was processed and taken out of my bank account but I've received no confirmation email and I'm a bit concerned that the money has gone out considering there have been no updates to my plan on my EE account.

If you have requested a switch from a phone plan to a SIM-only plan, this would occur on your existing accoount and there's no need for any payments.
Or have you chosen a phone upgrade with an upfront cost, in which case SIM-only has nothing to do with it? The new plan usually takes effect once your new phone has been delivered.
