Unable to find my account

I called up EE to cancel a pay monthly sim, I was told they couldn't find my account and I haven't been sent my account number to pair things with my EE account but I'm still having to pay for the sim

Hi,whenever I click on pay now it takes me to approve my account and once I’ve done it it keeps coming up with a text saying your payment was not successful. How do I fix this
