Essentials 5GB £50 actually cost £57+VAT why?

I have a mobile and signed up to a Essentials 5GB £50, but i seem to be billed £57.20 + VAT.

Why is it called Essentials 5GB £50 if it costs more????

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

But there should be no "+ VAT". It's inclusive.
