Hi

Is there a direct contact number for EE's fraud department?

I would like to report identity theft done in my name last month.

Thanks in advance.

They have written down all the notes on my account now. Whoever opens my account knows what has happened and what to do but I think it's just poor customer service and lack of communication between different EE departments.

Thanks for confirming @Khizarhayat13

Are you services active?

Was information as to why your account was suspended that the team could not help with?

Katie

thy said that when they sent something by post, a bill or something which is strange again as it's a direct debate why should they send anything by post, but the point is that they might have sent it to the wrong address and the person called them that this bill isn't theirs, they said that that's why they closed it down. Now my point is that why would you send anything by post and if you do so then why didn't you sent it to my address? Why did you send it someone else's address and now that I want to talk to the right person to re-activate my account you guys are sending me to EE shops. I have been to different EE shops 4 times now on their instructions and I have proven my ID 3 times. Whenever I go to the shop, they say that you have to call the customer service, we can't do anything about it and whenever I call the customer service they send me to the EE shop with a new demand. In short the EE customer service is pathetic. When it comes to advertisement, they say that we cover half of UK, you should be thankful to half of the UK because they are using your service, I think less people might have encountered issues that's because if more people starts to face issues I am pretty sure that you guys won't be able to handle it and you guys can at least make their lives miserable.

It sounds like you’ve been a victim of identity theft. The same happened to me. EE have very lax identity check procedures. The scammers managed to do it with just name, DOB and address. EE refused to acknowledge the fraud and sent bailiffs to my house. They backed down when my MP got involved. Their fraud department will not talk to you and say they followed all regulatory requirements. They will insist you owe them money. whatever you do, do not give them a penny. Get a fraud crime number. Keep a written record of everything. Eventually they’ll give up. This has happened to 30+ people minimum. Good luck! Let me know how you get on.
