Charged £30 plan after agreeing to £25 EE Business SIM

Charged £82 for first EE Business SIM bill – wrong tariff?

I recently purchased an EE Business SIM by phone and was offered two options:

• Around £25/month standard plan
• Around £30/month plan including international calls/texts

I specifically declined the more expensive option because I was told international features could be added separately only when needed.

My first bill now shows:

• £50 upfront deposit
• £2 pro-rata charge
• £30 monthly tariff
• Total requested £82

I do not remember agreeing to the £30 tariff or being informed clearly about a £50 upfront deposit.

Has anyone experienced wrong tariff activation or unexpected deposits on EE Business SIMs?

What is the best way to challenge this if the incorrect tariff was activated?

Thank you. LU

The £50 upfront deposit is probably a refundable security deposit, either against you paying your bills on time or against roaming. They should have told you what for. Ask CS. You should get it refunded in a few (3?) months.

If against roaming & you have no such intention, inform CS & ask for it back.

Hi @LU369

Just to add to @XRaySpeX's advice, if you believe the monthly plan that is on your account is different to what you agreed, I'd recommend giving us a call so a guide can get this looked into for you.
