Billing confusion

So I have been with ee for quite a while now, went and done a early upgrade and paid the £253 fee today, recieved email confirmation all dandy. But then noticed it said it was knocked of my next bill


This left me confused so I went hunting through my bills and was quite surprised to find a massive dent in the payments. 

I tallied up every single bill from December 2023 to now which totaled £1429.63 (I use my contract for purchases and there always all paid) 

I then went and checked on all my payments made to them since December 2023 only to find that in total I have paid £3700.36 to EE! 

I've booked an appointment to speak to someone tomorrow but I'm so confused how I paid £2270 over the ammount of the bills I've been sent and not a clue where this extra money had gone. 

 

Has anyone had this before? Cause now not only am I stressing about a upgrade but also about the ammount of money I've given them that's over what they have sent me to pay, like why hasn't it been picked up by them?
