Annual increase

EE txt me to say that due to “technical issues”, they cannot currently tell me what our new mobile bills will be.

Absolutely outstanding.

Hi @Minkey1

Could you tell me exactly what the message says please? Did you get any other messages about it?

Thanks

Chris

@Christopher_G

Copy of the txt. They’ll credit the 1st increase, whatever it is. Of course, whilst I’ve pd 6 mobile bills since transferring our SIMs last October, I still cannot access the mobile accounts “for security reasons”. At some point when I can summon up the energy, I’ll chase my Executive Complaints guy, whose-name-we-dare-not-mention.

“Hi Mike, on or after 31 March 2025, the price you pay for your mobile plan will be increasing in line with your terms and conditions.

Out-of-bundle charges and selected add-ons will also increase by 5%. For example, a £5 add-on will increase by £0.25 a month.

 We would normally inform you of the amount of the increase in advance to your new bill in April. However, due to a technical issue, we're currently unable to do so and your new monthly pricing will be confirmed in your next bill.

 Due to not being able to confirm this change in advance, as a gesture of goodwill, we will automatically credit your account by the amount of the first month's increase, which you will see on your April bill. Don't worry if the credit seems higher than your increased amount; this is correct. Please visit https://discover.ee.co.uk/m658E7S0 to know how these changes will affect your bill in April.

 Visit https://discover.ee.co.uk/w3V8L9o0 to find out more about these changes, including FAQs, a handy price calculator or financial support.”

Thanks @Minkey1

I'm sorry that we weren't able to give you the figure in advance. If you have a case open with the complaints team, it's definitely best to have a chat with them. They'll be able to give you some more information around this and build it into your open case.

@Christopher_G

Thanks Chris. The SIMs are £8 a pop. The increase will be half of b*gger all. It’s not so much the amount, nor of not knowing what the amount is, it’s that EE fail to impress.

Again.

@Minkey1  The price increase should be inline with the new changes on price increases as of April last year. £1.50 per sim.
