wifi is trash

Switched over to EE about a month ago now, and i must say the wifi is so bad. The speeds advertised to what were getting is ridiculous... im getting just shy of 250mb when promised over 500mb and this is a daily thing.

The EE home app is also dreadful just comes up with an error message saying it cant connect to the router.. what sort of service is this?

I too have enormous problems with EE Wi-Fi it is absolute rubbish. I was forced over from PlusNet (which had brilliant Wi-Fi) because of the need to retain a landline. However once my contract is out with EE I will reluctantly give up the landline and switch back to PlusNet. The EE service is truly shocking.

@Gill1953 What EE hub did you get for the change over PN to  EE, nearest equivalent although very old is the EE Smart Hub as a wifi 5 device. linked below if you need to go look.

I have an EE Smart Hub Plus.
I’m beginning to think it may be the hot weather has something to do with it but I never, ever had the same problems with PlusNet in previous heatwaves.

@Gill1953 The 6 or 7 Plus two versions available from EE now, The 6 is a wifi 6 device, and the 7 is wifi 7, they do operate differently from the old Plusnet version that you would have had it being wifi 5 only.
