I just had two EE workers come to my house at 7pm to say they're offering broadband for £20 a month I said I've just signed up to EE like 3 days ago and my box is already set up I pay 25.99 now but he was saying he can get it me cheaper and asked to see my reference number and account number ? Should I be worried can they attempt any fraud from having this information??
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hey there @Rv-T1996, welcome to the Community!
I can totally appreciate your concern with this one, we definitely use doorstep sales team to help promote our broadband services, but it's always best to err on the side of caution in these sort of situations.
We have a post dedicated to all the details you need about these visits, along with how to identify our team, here:
EE door-to-door sales; everything you need to know - The EE Community
Based on what you've mentioned I would expect this to be genuine, but if you reach out to our customer care team, they'll be able to check so we can be absolutely sure everything is secure with your account.

@Rv-T1996 : I wouldn't reveal anything to door-steppers on the vague promise of a saving. What credentials & uniform did they show?

Thanks for reaching on. He had an EE hat on and a lanyard with EE on it but I couldn't really see the writing properly to be honest. So do you think I have anything to be worried about because he took my EE account number and reference number ?
