cancelling out of contract broadband

I want to cancel my out of contract broadband, on EE's website it says "We'll stop your service 30 days after you cancel and let you know your contract has ended." but on the phone they told me that I cannot start my 30 cancellation period for another 8 days. Is there no way for me to start the cancellation now?

If your min. period has already expired you may call CS & give your 30 days notice to cancel at any time.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

@kbate4 If you are moving to another broadband provider just do a OTS to them, the shutdown of the EE will be taken care off by your new provider....

OTS is "One Touch Switch"

Thanks, I’m moving to Vodafone 5g broadband, it didn’t give me the option to do the OTS.

No, you can only use OTS when migrating between fixed BB ISPs.

@kbate4 It won't you cannot OTS between different types like Fixed Home / Mobile Broadband, EE play fast and loose, the whole 24 months period, then they accept your cancel option. Hope your 5G mobile works out for you, at least the VF PowerHub for fixed line Broadband is not very good at all.

@JimM11 : Not " the whole 24 months period" but from 30 days before the end of it that they accept your cancellation option.
