Smart WiFi Discs: Multiple Discs

We have three discs as the hub is in one corner of the property. Disc 1 is paired with the hub. Disc 2 is paired with Disc 1. Disc 3 is paired with Disc 2. Is this correct or does every disc need to be paired directly with the hub?
