Wifi 7 Extenders

Hi - Has anyone any experience of the new WiFi 7 Extenders? I have three attached to a hub pro. It seems the best I can get speed is around 200 - 300. Are the Extenders limited in speed?

Had significant issues with the new hub pro by itself. On the app safe search shows as not available.

Any advice appreciated.

@Sofaslug How do you have the smart wireless extenders connected? and what speed do you get when connected direct on the Router? The link below will answer the safe search.

I have a wifi 6 extender upstairs with router downstairs. My speed to the house is 900. If I connect via wifi to the extender  I get about 450, but if I connect the device to the extender using an ethernet cable I get full 900. The connection between the router and extender is wifi but runs at full speed, but you need to connect by cable from the extender to use that speed. This was confirmed by an EE engineer who was at my house yesterday.

Did you get a solution to this, I have the same issue and cant work out the problem? Other than. The hub pro not being up to scratch.

I disabled the 6Ghz channel in the router settings and that appears to have solved the problem.

My Samsung S24 was the only device connected to that channel, everything else was connected to the 5ghz channel.

@RobinWad Did you then replace the Smart wireless extender with a wired backhaul network after you disabled the 6Ghz frequency.

No. House is of modern timber frame construction and not sure if meed the extendrr anyway but it came with the hub.

@RobinWad Because it came is not a reason to use it, especially if it is not required, so you just switched off the 6Ghz band for no particular reason but to get the Extender working a little better.....

I think i replied to the wrong thread.

I posted about wifi calling dropping out since the new Ee router was installed. Disabling the 6 ghost channel seems to have solved that issue
