Hi all. I’ve got the new Smart hub pro with an extender. Everything was good except 2 older iPads kept on losing the WiFi signal. I reset everything and thought I try the compatible mode. So I have WiFi and compatible WiFi. The signal seems better on the older pads. But I’m confused. The compatible WiFi gets 1200mbps but the normal WiFi gets 20mbps. Is this normal or is there something I need to do? Thanks.

@LamboUK1 Is this comparing the same device on both versions of the ssid that you setup?

I just turned off my wifi extender and i'm getting 800mbps. maybe it's a faulty extender?

@LamboUK1 As this is all software on the EE Router, there will be TWO different SSID to ID the separate networks, so you need to look and set the phone to the correct wi-fi connection, should not matter password wise. The device ie your mobile will indicate what speed connection that you get when connected to either network which it seems to be doing, Not an IOS user so cannot say what/how it displays to operate on each mode that you select. If your main is at 1200mbps would maybe expect the compatible to drop down to 866mbps as a like for like...

@LamboUK1 Sorry was typing up the reply, the extender may be an issue, need someone to be able to analyze if the main and compatible is even being passed through the extender unit, do not use EE as an Asus AI mesh user.

I’m using the mesh extender that come with the smart hub pro. I’ll try resetting it all again.
