Broadband and £10 sim

Hi,

I have been without BT broadband since 7th of December various cabinet issues. So I thought I would try Three 5g broadband and took out a mobile £10 sim only as it was on offer it’s a 30 day trial and I have decided that I don’t get a stable enough connection, too much buffering especially on Apple TV. So I have signed up with EE broadband , which goes live on the 5th of February but I would like to come back to EE with my mobile too, my account is now closed, on the £10 unlimited data, calls and texts sim only, please might someone point me in the right direction to get this sorted out Thank you Mark

@hoarem Do look carefully at the sim option when you do it, there are restricted speed's on the unlimited data, not a mobile person so not best for me to advise that, i went to the EE/BT shop to get it all sorted out, as did not want the BB side to be messed up with the mobile/fixed on the account side of things, they did it all fine in the shop, one account, Mobile/Broadband all tied together so no issues. £12 / month same option gives you more speed i think....

Set up the EE App with your broadband via the email invitation you would have received to set up your EE ID. Your broadband doesn't need to be live to do this.

Once you get in there you will have the option to add a SIM and it will give you all the options.

If that doesn't work, you may need to call EE so they can help you set up your EE ID correctly. Beware that if it is not done through your app and instead over the phone, there is a risk the accounts don't get linked correctly.

@Matt_124 Thanks for all the info, main reason for me was NOT to get the account side messed up, phone is for phone calls data side i just don't care about. 👍

@JimM11No worries,

Starting to notice that no matter how hard you try the account can get messed up. Find the App seems to take the human error out of it as if you order through there it links automatically.

The key part really is people either not clicking the activation email after ordering their EE Broadband as it times out after a couple of days, or setting up the mobile up to an EE ID before the broadband.

It seems easy enough to link your mobile account to a different EE ID, but the broadband sticks on the one it was set up on and if this email is wrong it all falls apart.

Doesn't help when some sales guides seem to enter the wrong email intentionally when ordering due to coming up against clashes and not following the correct process or taking time to resolve them, and just say "oh you will have two logins now, one for Broadband and one for mobile".

Eventually the SIM discounts will be linked by the EE ID, so if accounts aren't linked they'll notice bills jumping up by £20 as it doesnt see the broadband on there...
