I just transferred from being a BT customer to EE.

I've incurred numerous problems, one of them being unable to use my Wi-Fi controls within the App.

So, the question: " How many of us still cannot use their Wi-Fi controls within the app?"

If you respond could you please provide the following info:-

1) Android or IOS operating system.

2) Mobile model/tablet model.

3) Did you transfer from being a BT customer. - Yes/No answer required.

4) Did you change the SSID (name) and password of your EE Hub - Yes/No answere required.

I intend to make EE aware of this thread so they, and we, can see the real scale of the problem.

Jim, I set up my EE hub with nothing attached to it other than my iPhone and I still got the same failure message when pairing.

I made a specific point of isolating the hub from any outside interference whist doing the update and talking the EE tech team through the stages.

I had all other hubs turned off so it couldn't see them.

Still failed!

@John-P2 Looks like you may have posted the FW of the BT router earlier.

I did mention previously that the BB user name was bthomehub@btbroadband.com and asked if it should be this and told yes . But I had these wifi controls initially until an update but only for a couple of days. I have now tried everything just set the router up disconnect DV phones scan the qr code and the spinning wheel-

It was Steve that posted the firmware number  which is a lot .different to the one I have posted  from my hub whether it is faulty hubs or software  is unknown at this time but I think that there are more people having this problem than EE know about.

Hi

I have used 3 different SH31B routers and still get the same issue.

And all my devices are running the lastest app.

@John-P2 : SH20A is the model no. of the EE SH (2023). It is not the SH+ (SH31B).

The firmware running on the EE SH20A and BTSH2 is the same as far as I am aware, and the management console is neutrally branded.

This was the hub sent by EE when I upgraded to fibre  and it worked for a couple of days then no wifi controls. The question is now is this the correct router for fibre or have EE sent the wrong one but like I have said previously the new router was supposed to arrive Monday but which Monday they did not say.

@Stevef1964 @John-P2 With Android i have the Samsung A54 5G running android 14, And latest version of the App version 5.35.0 and using the SH+ (SH31B) worked with app on previous FW and also the Latest FW of the Router. No problems paired with router, displays both Broadband and Mobile, no issues, Not using all of the features but have groups set up and devices assigned to groups etc, can see all the devices, switch between etc, not controlling any wi-fi devices to switch off etc, no need to do so but could test if someone required. Will get away from home if i attach to the Asus router ssid as ip range is 192.168.50.1 for it as it is in router mode. Think that someone from EE has to confirm which Router is capable for working with what app from the google play store etc, seems that some advice is that app cannot work with that router etc.

The app and the web interface are not the greatest pairing's when the hub is so restricted to what you can change.

So router is using my old sky SSID and Password, Admin password is changed on router, using wpa2 - personal for wi-fi, using the AX mode, have router hanging of port 1, powerline on port 4, fttc waiting on fttp who knows when Asus booster running in repeater mode to get wi-fi about the house, not happy with 34.35 sync speed, have engineer from 10-12 appointment for tomorrow. Do not know how EE operate on the fttc, but know how SKY did, so need some clear up on that, had steady 40/10 with sky, never any real issue.
