Using the Apple TV box

I'm a couple of days into my EE TV subscription now, and am beginning to get used to how the Apple remote controls most things. But I need a bit of help still.

When I open an app - say EE TV, NHK World, the app screen, More4 etc - the box, similar to my iPhone - doesn't seem to shut the app down when I move onto something else. They remain hidden on the screen behind the current app, but using the scroll wheel, I can scroll through them if I wish. But I would rather get rid of the app from the screen when I am finished with it instead of it hovering in the background but can't seem to work out how!

On my phone I can simply swipe up the screen and they are gone. But can anyone advise how to do similar with the TV box?

Hope I have explained all this clearly enough!

Hi @snes ,

If you are wanting to know how to close the app on Apple TV and you use the EE branded remote for Apple TV, double tapping the TV button would list the open applications and double tapping the "UP" button in the D pad would close the selected application. Please also visit Using your EE TV remote with Apple TV 4K box | TV and Sport Help | EE for more. Hope thats helpful.

Thank you, that was most helpful - I shall give that a try!

And thanks also for the link - I couldn't seem to find one on the EE site, hence posting here.
