Hi, my EE broadband was activated earlier today. I plugged it to the power source and optical box and was immediately connected to internet. I can also access 192.168.1.254 for admin panel.
However, when I tried to setup with EE Home mobile app (both iOS and Android), the same error message always pops up:
It wasn't possible to connect to the network. Please try again.
I tried several times at different moments, nothing works.
What did I miss here?

Is there anything in particular you need to do with the EE Home app? The majority of facilities can be done on the router itself. The app is just 1 more thing that can go wrong as you've seen & as EE has demonstrated with its MyEE app.

I was wondering if EE Home offered the same level of convenience as other providers (I have been with Virgin Media, Community Fibre & Vodafone and their broadband management apps are all good).

Thank you for being straight on-the-point. It's time to uninstall EE Home. Thank you!

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
The only thing you might need the EE Home app for is Access Control which can't be done on the router itself..

I need to control my kids online time. Could I do it without the EE home app?

@Moonmelon : The EE Home app is not the same as the MyEE app. The former was for the EE Smart Router only; the latter is intended for the New EE Full Fibre BB with the EE Smart Hub Plus.

Re different apps. That makes sense. Have deleted home app
however when trying the MyEe app to control WiFi or test speed ( which is my main concern and reason I found this all out) I get this message and have done over a couple of app updates

- EE Smart Hub Pro On the EE app in Broadband & Landline
- EE Smart Hub Plus and Sky Q Connection Issues in Broadband & Landline
- My Wi-Fi has become unbearably slow since yesterday in Broadband & Landline
- SMART 5G Hub and EE TV? in TV
- Can’t connect WiFi Extender pro to SH32B hub despite being sent Replacements. in Broadband & Landline
