Nightmare upgrade

We have been with BT for a number of years, and were looking to upgrade. Unfortunately, it has been a nightmare after sales misled us with the expected speeds, and failed to mention migration to EE. Multiple calls in attempt to resolve, which equates to hours in terms of conversation with guides (advisors) and hold times. Some have been quite helpful, but still failed by the system. The agreed action was a package modification, which has now failed. I've been told that the process could take 5 days to correct. The cynic in me suggests this is delay tactics...hope that I`m wrong.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?
