Ubiquity Router for VPN

Hi all.  I have just moved from a Virgin Media connection to full fibre EE.  I had my virgin router set to modem mode so I could use my own router which has VPN's set up to other sites.  I can't find how to turn the EE Smart router to the same, any suggestions?  Many thanks 🙂

The EE Smart Router can't be run as Modem Only but you don't need to. As you are getting Full Fibre (FTTP) the OR ONT on the interior wall is the modem. You just connect the Ubiquity to that & hang the EE supplied router (after you've obtained your BB creds from it).

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks for that. What are the BB Cress and how do I find them? Many thanks

Your BB creds are the BB Username & pwd that you'll find on the Advanced Settings > Technical Log > Information page. You'll need them for your own router.

Fantastic! I will give that a try.

Good morning.  I have logged into the router, advanced settings/technical log/information.  I can find a list including the username but no password?

If your username looks like PRODUCTIONHQNUN123456@FS, your password will look like HQNPASS123456. Simply replace the numbers in the password, with the ones found in your username.

Hiya.  Sorry just to be clear, the password is just the numbers in your example 123456 or the letters as well HQNPASS123456?

No, both are the whole caboodle I stated.

Hiya, sorry to be a nuisance, I am having a problem getting my router to connect, I just want to clarify the details you gave me.  Your example would show the username as PRODUCTIONHQNUN123456@FS and the password as 123456.  Do I have that correct?  Many thanks 🙂
