My EE broadband speed keeps dropping buy almost 250%. The only reason is even know it's happened is because I go to download something and the download speed is very low. I then have to restart my router and usually it returns to normal until it drops again. After restarting the router usually shows this error message and then connects anyway?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Ludox Alas it is very unlikely to get better on it's own!
If you can, then remove the faceplate on your master socket and connect the router via a dangly filter to the test socket and see if that improves things.
Otherwise report the problem, sooner rather than later.

@Ludox they are very inconsistent results, have you checked your phone line for noise? Dial 17070 ideally from a corded phone.
Do you get the same problems with your EE Router?
Have you reported a fault to the Broadband Care Team?

I don't have a phone sadly I can't test it. Also it's broadband only so not sure if it would work in that case anyway? And no I haven't reported it yet. God knows where that router is lol.
