My broadband speed keeps severely dropping.

My EE broadband speed keeps dropping buy almost 250%. The only reason is even know it's happened is because I go to download something and the download speed is very low. I then have to restart my router and usually it returns to normal until it drops again. After restarting the router usually shows this error message and then connects anyway?ConnectionMessage.pngDroppedSpeed.pngNormalSpeed.png

@Ludox   Alas it is very unlikely to get better on it's own!

If you can, then remove the faceplate on your master socket and connect the router via a dangly filter to the test socket and see if that improves things.

Otherwise report the problem, sooner rather than later.

@Ludox   they are very inconsistent results, have you checked your phone line for noise? Dial 17070 ideally from a corded phone.

Do you get the same problems with your EE Router?

Have you reported a fault to the Broadband Care Team?

I don't have a phone sadly I can't test it. Also it's broadband only so not sure if it would work in that case anyway? And no I haven't reported it yet. God knows where that router is lol.
