The broadband hub works just for 20 minutes and goes off

Prehistory (might be helpful): Everything was fine before Eowyn Storm. I live in a flat and I always had even the public EE wifi signal with my hub wifi signal. Just a day before the storm I arrived at home and noticed that there is no WiFi signal at all, the hub shows green color, then blinking white one for second, again green and turn off for 2 seconds and goes again this circle. The public EE WiFi disappeared as well. I have connected with EE guide next day (storm day) and after 2 hours of all possible troubleshooting actions we have finished on booking an engineer visit.

What I had for next day and what I have now:
When I turn off the hub from power for 3+ minutes and turn on back - it works (Aqua color, Opensearch modem shows light on LAN). But then the wifi signal goes disappeared, green color goes for 30+ seconds, then blinking green and so on, Opensearch modem shows no light on LAN. Power cut restart helps to get everything back, but again - just for a while.

Is it anything can be possible to do to fix that, update firmware or something, because I believe that engineer might come next week and would say to reorder a new hub.

The public EE wifi works fine, but it cut me off every 30+ minutes and I have to re-connect again (I think there is the limit of the session, would be great to know how to stay longer).

P.S. Factory reset button doesn't work, I could hold the button for 1 minute and there is no change of colour, when I go http://192.168.1.254/, and trying to factory reset - wifi signal just disappeared again and shows green colour.

Sounds like storm has broken the router, particularly as Factory Reset does nowt. Have you not got a back-up router?

I found it broken at the evening before the storm. I've tried to explain to EE Guide that maybe I need a new one, but they said I need to wait before "it will be fixed". I don't have any back-up one. Should I request a new one, if yes - how to do so?

@MarcoC : What lights show on the router?

If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area  to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area.

Have you reported your problem with your BB to EE? They can't do anything about it until you do. Text HELP to 66033 to get EE to test the line & see what needs doing.

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)?
