Am trying to test broadband speed by following instructions on EE webpage which says:
Trouble is, there is no "See whats included in your plan" tile or "Test speed" tile on Manage, Broadband pages on the app!
Any help much appreciated!

@Thuydao : Your BB should be reinstated within 1 day of you paying your outstanding debt.

Hi @DD7777,
Welcome to the EE Community
What is happening when you try and do the in app broadband speed test? Have you been able to try clearing the app cache or re-installing if that doesn't work?

Hi
I have just used the thinkbroadband speedtest and it reports a download speed of 9.0Mbps. I also tried Ookla and get a similar 9.06Mbps. However, after a lot of effort, I found the EE app speedtest and that reports 33Mbps so therefore, conveniently, my speed guarantee is met. This all seems very inconsistent, are these differences common?

@cerf-volant : The EE app speedtest reports both the raw BB speed to the router (the only speed EE guarantees & so we must assume that) & the speed reaching the testing device. Which of those is reported @ 33 Meg & what is the other speed? TBB & Oakla speedtests can only test the speed to the device. So its not that simple comparing 1 with t'other w/out knowing which speeds you are talking about.

@cerf-volant You may find the ookla guide off some help to you!

Many thanks for your quick reply.
My TBB & Ookla speedtests were from my W10 desktop & direct Ethernet and normally I'd see approx 30Mbps. Pity that the EE test is from an mobile app). However, I have just run a test from a W11 laptop and WiFi and see 31Mps. So, I need to investigate my trusty desktop!

@cerf-volant What EE Hub are you using, the fast.com is a dual hit test with the EE Hubs. EE and the mobile app is what EE wants nothing else!

It's a WiFi6 Smart Hub Plus (SH31B). However, I have reset the network stack, etc on my PC and I'm back to 31Mbps without having to endure the EE app again!
Thanks for your input.

@cerf-volant It's really unfortunate but you cannot do it all with the web manager, some functions only work through the EE app and when you need that it's a wing and a prayer the app is working at the time!
