@Vb24214606   As stated, this is a customer-to-customer help forum and the only staff on here are the moderators.  The rest of us are just fellow customers with sufficient experience to try to help others.  (Just like on the BT forum, in fact)

It sounds as if you are stuck with setting up the new EE router they've sent you.  If you would like help with this just say what the problem is and I’m sure one of the regulars will talk you through it.  Unfortunately, they can't sort it out if they don't know what the problem is.

Sadly my experience to date is a very poor one with EE and until I get
answers off some one not pretentious who works for EE or BT (the same
company) I will pursue the problem I have created by them.
I am not easily ripped off by pretentious people or companies circa EE
staff!

Hi @Vb24214606

This is your third thread in as many days on the same topic. Either complain here: https://ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee/complaint

Or if you are still within your cooling off period cancel, or pay off your remaining contract term and move.

Thousands of customers have moved over without issue but you'll always have a few who have issues the same as any consumer product.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Then do something about it by logging a complaint at the link provided by @Northerner.

Your excessive posting on here is not going to magically resolve the issue or help in any way.

@Vb24214606

I was wrongfully (illegally?) switched to EE from BT when I just cancelled a 30 day rolling contract item.

I complained to the CEO's office - email not hard to find - and received compensation. I was unfortunately put on a new 24month contract taking me to August 2026. But I've raised the issue again recently and am now out of contract and about to leave.

I will say the switch was seamless though.

It's now not the policy to switch BT users to EE but the "guides" don't seem to have been told that though.

Also when I was switched I was told there was no way to undo that other than taking out a new contract with BT.

If you're within the 14 days period go to another ISP.

I don't think that you've actually stated what the problem is other than you didn't want to switch, if you did say then members here might actually be able to help.

This is the first report I have seen of anyone being forced to switch from BT to EE.

I have heard of "slamming" but I didn't know that EE was a party to this sort of thing.

I did ask for more details of your experience in an earlier message because I am contemplating making that switch. No answer that I could find.

I would love to know what could go wrong.

"This is the first report I have seen of anyone being forced to switch from BT to EE."

Really? It's happened to very many BT users, some actually were aware of it , others like myself only realised when a confirmation email arrived. It appears that the "guides" were incentivised to switch users to EE as that was the policy until Allison Kirkby (BT/EE CEO) changed it recently.

@mkcomputing You may wish to go look at your BT contract with regards to them moving your account!

Thanks, but that is easier said than done.

If you, or anyone else, know something that I don't about BT's usual T&C care to share it?

My contract is seriously old. I know that it predates some of the T&C stuff added since it started. On returning kit, for example.
