Switching from BT Broadband to EE

I'm switching from BT full fibre to basically the same plan with EE. I'll be away the week of the activation date, will the existing BT Smart Hub 2 work okay until I get back to install the new EE hub?

An EE "Guide" appointment is scheduled for the day after I get back, can I wait and have him set up the new router? Obviously I don't want to get home and find I have no broadband after BT switch over to EE.

Yes, the BT SH2 will work on New EE Full Fibre. You don't need an OR eng to set up your EE router. You just plug it into the ONT.

Just to clarify, I don't need to be present for the activation to go through, right?  I'll just leave the SH2 on while I'm away.

Not when Full Fibre has already been laid to your home & you have an ONT.

However they might want to come in just to check the speed at your end is as intended.
