@Brian19771   it could be that you are not leaving the extender  and router connected long enough, it seems they need to be connected for longer than you think before moving them apart.

Also have a look at the Help pages for more info.

Hi thanks for that ive connected it back via ethernet cable and the aqua light is on again how long should I leave it connected before taking the ethernet cable out. Thanks for the reply

@Brian19771   not sure how long exactly, but see how it does after half an hour. Then let us know.

Hi mate I left it connected to ethernet cable for over an hour took cable out and it still had the aqua light on left that for a bit then unblocked the box to move it upstairs but now not working again just continues to flash orange

@Brian19771   could it be you are moving it to position that does not get WiFi?

Have you tried in the same room, does it stay connected once you remove the ethernet cable.

If so try moving somewhere a bit further away gradually until you are able to find the optimum spot.

It seems to be as soon as it unplug it from the mains ot won't reconnect i just moved it to where my old ee booster discs were. I've brought it back downstairs plugged it in but just flashing orange. Im ready for giving up

if it is doing that it sounds like that or the router is faulty, time to give customer services a call and see about replacements.

@Brian19771 The smart wireless if it is not faulty, best to leave it connected overnight on the Ethernet near the Main router, let it get any FW updates it needs, then go for the Factory Reset option ONLY on the smart and restart the process, You can Factory Reset the Router and the Smart but only if you are/have not done major changes to the Router as that is a re-do for everything!
