Smart Hub pro wont connect to video doorbell

Hey - some support in this would be great. Tried connecting my ring doorbell to my smart hub pro and it won't, it shows both the EE and Compatible wifi in the options for connection but doesn't connect following putting password in.

I have gone out today and bought a Blink device to see if that works and frustratingly no different. Tried reboots, every settings change under the sun and no joy. 

Anything obvious I'm missing?

@Hollaaaa  Have you tired disabling 5Ghz on the router ?  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have mate, for both different devices and still no joy.

@Hollaaaa   there has been new firmware rolled out which includes a compatible setting for items that can't connect. Have you tried that?

The firmware type r2.72.1-R-1273065-PROD-1 is my firmware. Is there a more up to date version? And if so how do i go about upgrading?

@Hollaaaa   the firmware is sent to your router automatically as and when an update is available, nothing you can do to control when.

Do you have Guest or Compatible mode available in your WiFi settings?

Would be interested to know what date you received firmware r2.72.1-R-1273065-PROD-1 for your EE smart hub pro. Thought everyone was still on r2.64.7-R-1303938-PROD-1
