I’m on the Busiest Home 1.6Gb package and EE haven’t sent me the new hub yet. Mixed reviews and feedback on this forum. I have no WiFi 7 devices so I’m wondering is it worth the hassle of getting one from EE? I’m assuming older devices won’t see any faster speeds, but maybe the coverage is better?? Any feedback appreciated .

Hi @KJCook
You are future proofing really becase most new devices have WiFi 7.
You are however correct in that EE hardware seems to have some issues but this is a new technology and there are equally more people who don't have issues. If you're on 1.6GB then you'll definitely see the difference when you upgrade devices.
Thanks

With the SH Pro you'll have a 2.5 Gig LAN to suit your 1.6 Gig plan. The SH+ only has a 1 Gig Lan.

My 1.6Gbs BB went active yesterday and I have the Smart Hub Pro.
For me, so far, it has been brilliant. I have Ethernet to my home and work laptops using 2.5Gbs USB-C to Ethernet dongles. Using fast.com I got up to 1.8Gbs.
I downloaded a Win11 ISO at 5.4Gb from Microsoft today in about 46 seconds.
I have only got WiFI 6 and 6e devices - mobiles and tablets. The speed compares to my old Sky WiFI 5 hub is insane.
My WiFi around the house is also crazy fast.
Do it.
