Hi everybody
I have been forced to move to EE from BT and landed with the Smart Hub SH31B which I think is what everybody calls Plus.
With BT Hub 2 I was using USB port with fixed IP for label printer - SII 450. It worked brilliantly. However, it does not work with this new EE invention.
Does anybody know how to make it working as a printer port?
Will be most grateful for help.
Regards - Stash

The USB port of the SH+ is non-effective. It is intended for developers'/engineers' use or perhaps may be used as a power source.

Hi, so about to upgrade to FFTP and have received my SmartHub +.
Got mixed feelings about this router.
Any way round this?

Really? I haven't ever seen that on the forums/google. The one I use at the moment only supports 10.0.0.x if DHCP is off.
This router is a Smart hub "+EEH001+2041016402"
Routers I have had sent by EE after this one don't even allow that! But maybe if I'd have known about the gateway address then .........
The smart hub+ is the first in years that allows this out of the box.
However it is still useless if it doesn't support USB and WiFi password compatibility with previous versions of the router it is replacing. If so migration would be seamless.

Is this problem not related to Windows setting for SMB 1.0 which needs to be disabled to allow the use of the USB by a windows computer. Search in windows for Turn Windows features on / off.
This applies to my EE Smart Hub which has a hard disc plugged into it and is available to all computer on the WiFi.

@peterjpt : No, it doesn't apply for the EE Smart Hub Plus. It's the router itself that's preventing it. The USB port of the SH+ is non-effective. It is intended for developers'/engineers' use or perhaps may be used as a power source.
It was the original Smart Hub that needed SMB 1.0 to be enabled
