Slow speed on new 990mbps package. Could cable be damaged?

Hi. I just had Openreach install my new line for the 990mpbs package. Speed is rubbish. After the first day which was close to the correct Speed, it now fluctuates between 60 - 990.

I noticed that a car drove over the cable while the engineer was installing. Could that have caused the Speed issues?

Any suggestions welcome. I will give EE a chance to sort this out before I cancel.

Thanks

@ddemolder To keep it separate as easier to click and read.

@ddemolder And have you come from BT with that as a replacement Router, or you have always had that one!

Yes I moved from bt and it's a new router

@ddemolder Thought that when you posted, all you can do is keep an eye on what is going on the external fibre cable is kevlar coated protection and is very strong so hard to say but you cannot discard as a potential problem, and you need to set up a standard for a test, if you cannot do a network ethernet test then fighting wireless wi-fi is always going to be difficult...

Have a read at the link when you get time.

I tried ethernet speed test. It was 360mbps. Spoke with EE who said that I am receiving 990 to my router.

It's not just the speed of a speedtest but the shape!
